"Blubber Glove"

Combining Math and Science with Mrs. Allen's Class

In math, students are learning to round two-digit measurements to the nearest ten on the vertical number line. In science, students are learning about animal adaptations. While measuring, recording and rounding  different water temperatures, students replicated animal blubber which is needed for animals to adapt to cold waters.  Ask your child how his or her hand felt with and without the "blubber glove."
